I am a teacher, and I am a student.
Many fields of study appeal to me. I want to learn as much as
possible, and to keep on learning all my life. I ended up studying
computer science at Eindhoven University of Technology, because I was
drawn to math, languages, and computers, and all these aspects are
combined in computer science. During my studies, I found out that I
mostly loved the theoretic subjects, and was never very interested in
practical application. I also liked taking courses in other fields, like
math, philosophy and psychology.
While I was working on my Master's thesis, I also enrolled in
the teaching course for computer science, and having very nearly
finished that, I am now starting on the teaching course for mathematics.
I want to write a book one day, probably a study book, but it might also
be a story. I more or less wrote one already - I wrote a syllabus for my
Master's thesis - but I want to write one that actually gets read, too.
For now, I'm mostly using my writing skill for a translation job,
translating a part of the university's website to English.
