As you will probably have guessed from the title of this site, my name
is Wynke. Despite the fact that Wynke is a Frysian name, I'm not Frysian
myself - I've lived in Noord-Brabant, a province in the south of the
Netherlands, all my life. I was born in Breda in 1977, moved westward in
1979 with my family, and then eastward on my own in 1996, to Eindhoven,
where I am still living today, together with my boyfriend.
My main occupation is teaching. I have been teaching computer science at
a local high school during the last school year, and am studying in
order to be able to teach mathematics as well. However, since I don't
have a teaching job right now - I was replacing someone temporarily last
year - I currently spend most of my time translating a website to English.
Computers, math and languages are three things I love, and computer
science, in which I got a Master's degree from Eindhoven University
of Technology, combines all three. However, my interests are much wider
than that. I'm also interested in philosophy and psychology, among other
things, and my hobbies include cooking, reading, writing, making things
and several sports (though not by any means at Olympic level).
