En Bloc - Friend discussion

This topic is to discuss the friend character in the drunken murder VN project.

We know the following things about him:
-He is PROTAGONIST's best friend.
-He knows GIRLFRIEND.
-He attends the same high school as abovementioned characters.
-He is at least talkative enough to have casual conversations with PROTAGONIST.

Also, although it is not mentioned, it is implied that he does not know GIRLFRIEND well enough to know where she lives - otherwise PROTAGONIST and FRIEND would have probably went to her home.

Discuss.

I'm thinking quiet, smart guy who speaks softly. Kind of attractive, likes to lay low and all that.

Just my thought, anyway.

Yeah, someone who's just a bit smart and not a complete idiot/failure/attention whore would probably be best. His only real purpose in the story is to have conversations with PROTAGONIST, most importantly about his missing girlfriend.
I was actually thinking of Fate/stay night's Issei when I wrote the plot outline.

Hm, could we get a concept sketch on this guy? He'll probably be the person you see most often during the VN (which is ironic, as he's the least important character)...that is, unless we also draw the protagonist on the screen (like True Remembrance does) - but in most VNs the protagonist is hidden from sight except during CGs.
