The confessions of an addict. Or: another unfinished thing

addicted
not being able to leave cds where you found them and carefully making plans to actually spend as much money as you can on your life's soundtrack.
consumerist,
finding ways to get around the problem created by marketeers creating a package rather than selling content and thus playing along with their originally intended game anyway.
search & destroy,
buying cds of bands out-of-the-blue, which could be made into a positive point if you actually had ways to be introduced to it by friends with a decent collection...
overdone
having more cds than can honestly spring to mind in their attempt to hitch a ride in your cd player. And ofcourse the desperate completeness of some collections.
Ok, never mind...

Joy Division
Warsaw / Live at the Electric Circus / Unknown Pleasures / Closer / Still / Substance

Those steps which
``The famous stairs picture''
seem to take a lifetime

A room full of doors and no exits.

New Order
Movement / Everything's gone green / 81-82 ep / Dead bodies can't sing / Dreams never end (bootleg) / Peel Sessions / Power, Corruption and Lies / Low Life / Brotherhood / Substance '87 / Technique / Fine Time / Regret / Republic

My first two ``favourite bands of all time''. I started buying music not until pretty late. The first Neworder album I bought was Low life and from there it was a bit of forward & backward search.
Opposite to the generic crowd of fans I like Movement a lot and with that record I decided to buy a Joy Division record.
After the annoying incident of deciding to buy Still (I admit it..) I got to buy my favourite Joy Division album, being Unknown Pleasures
(Again opposite to the most people liking Closer - which has one of my favourite songs: 24 hours. Some sort of tunnel vision and time concept afwijking)
I'm never going to buy the best-of albums.. although I usually like remixes these versions sound so cheap and have so little going for them except the bits and pieces of the original I'd never call these remixes.
